Halloween Festivities!

Happy Halloween!

This was Aubrey's first Halloween so we took some pictures so you all could be a part of all the fun and festivities she took part in. About a week ago we started our fun as Wade and I threw a Halloween party at Grandma's house. All the kids came dressed in their costumes. However, I unfortunately, didn't get any pictures of all the kids except Aubrey. They were all very cute though! Wade and I got cookies, eyeball stew, chips and salsa, candy, and all sorts of other goodies. Then we all had a weenie roast in the backyard around the fire pit as Wade's family shared stories of their childhood. It was really fun to hear all of their memories. We dressed Aubrey up as a ballerina princess; but, she was very tired fussy and not very photogenic
She couldn't understand what all the poof was all about

Aubrey was so excited and surprised to see all of her cousins dressed up

This hat was cute on her for the whole 2minutes that it stayed on.

All the kids enjoyed jumping on the trampoline in the dark!

Wade and Aubrey sitting around listening to scary stories.

Jena and Andrea, enjoying all the good food. You can tell Jena is a mom by all the weenies she can cook at one time... impressive!

The night before Halloween, Wade and I started carving our pumpkins we didn't get too far because Aubrey wasn't in the mood and Wade remembered that he needed to dress up for work. We paused in the carving process and threw together some stuff for Wade's costume.

After all was said and done, Wade was a news anchor in a terrible wind storm. We are so good!

After sleeping until 3 on Halloween, Wade, Aubrey,and I continued carving our pumpkins. This time, Aubrey was more compliant.

The pumpkins are almost done!

I turn my head for one minute and Aubrey started carving the pumpkin all by herself!

Aubrey: "How do you guys like my carving skills?"

Aubrey tried fitting herself into the jack-o-lantern, but soon realized that she isn't as small as she used to be.

After all was said and done, Aubrey was so excited to pose in front of her masterpieces!

She was so happy because she new that when the jack-o-lanterns were done, it was soon time to go trick-or-treating!

"Okay, I guess you can take one more picture, because I am so darn cute!"

Aubrey getting ready to get some candy... can you tell what she's going to be yet?

Her costume is starting to come together more... any ideas yet?

That's right!.... She was a "Jack-in-the-box" or you could say a "Jackie in a box"

I was a welding Wade for trick-or-treating!

Wade was a redneck, cowboy.... so, here are the 3 of us together right before we left!

Aren't the people suppose to be surprised when the "Jack in the box" pops up?... not the Jack

The last house we trick-or-treated was Grandma and Grand-dad's so they just had to take another picture of us.

Can you tell how much Aubrey liked her trick-or- treating experience?

Finally, Aubrey was able to get out of her box and stretch her little arms and legs!

Of course, Aubrey had to count and sort all of her candy and goodies.

"Yup, that's right, Aubrey got over 5 full sized candy bars, soda, apples, goldfish, and more... what a lucky baby!"

"Show us your favorite treat you got!"

I think Aubrey thought all of the candy was actually new toys because of all the bright colors and and crinkly sounds they made.

Right before we went to bed for the night, we lit up our jack-o-lanterns and Aubrey loved the warm orange glow they made.

We hope you all enjoyed your Halloween too! Happy belated Halloween to all those we love and miss!
==============================

I also got to enjoy some extra Halloween fun at the elementary school. My cooperating teacher and I stayed after school one day to create our costumes. I dressed up as a washer and she dressed up as a dryer. We had some of the coolest costumes that were there. We even got to march in the Halloween parade and have fun parties in our classroom! I unfortunately forgot my camera, but when I get copies from Lindsi, I'll be sure to post!

October Fun!

October is Here!
October seems to be my favorite month of the year. First off, I love the feeling of the crisp fall weather! I love the beautiful colors that present themselves on the trees this time of the year. Aside of the weather, I love all of the parties and celebrations that happen during this month. Not to mention, my Birthday! The first week of the month, I had 3 days off of school so Wade took the same days off and we headed to Idaho to run a few errands and enjoy conference with our friends. Friday night, we had a bon fire as we roasted wienies and marshmallows. After which, we used the fire to make Sobe bombs.

Aubrey had to get all bundled up for that Rexburg weather. but it was worth it to have such a cool fire.

Aubrey chillin' with her new buddy, Brooke near the fire!

Kent, Wade, Brett, Derik, and Jessica getting toasty

If you didn't know any better you'd think they were Aubrey's parents... might as well since her real parents seem to neglect her... lol.. just kidding.

Enjoying conference!

On our way back from Idaho, we decided to visit Jacob and Melinda in Logan. Aubrey was so excited to finally get to play with someone her own age. Andrew is getting so big and very handsome!

The following weekend, we celebrated the Best Day of the Year.... My Birthday! Wade woke me up at midnight on my Birthday with a dozen roses he picked up on his break. The next morning he came home early at 2am instead of 7am. so he could be well rested for the adventures that were to come. We left around 10am to go to Lagoon! This is Wade getting excited for all of those thrill rides! We left Aubrey for the first time for the longest time without either one of us home. However, I think she enjoyed her day with her Grandma.

At the park, Wade took me to a strip club for my Birthday.... The star was this Kangaroo who had a fetish for his privates!... He was very provocative, we decided to leave early.

While waiting in line for one of the rides, I saw the funniest yet smartest sign I had ever seen. We just had to take a picture... I'm glad they warned me because, I was really tempted to sit on it.

After the peep show and the tempting fence, we got ready to go to the square dance, I thought I was really excited until I saw Wade.

This is a picture of genuine excitement... However, I think this cowboy came strait from the movie Brokeback Mountain. He looks a little femmie with the hand on his tilted hip.

Before we left, we decided to pay a little extra to ride the bungie jump/ superman ride. I was really excited to ride this ride that would hoist you on a cord 150 feet into the air and then you pulled your own rip cord to free fall 20 feet and then swing back and forth across the park. However, when they began to lift us, I became extremely scared. Wade and I went tandem and I was the one to pull the cord, I almost didn't because I was so nervous. On the way down I was crying and laughing hysterically at the same time. Although it was scary (at least for me) it was totally worth it!

Wade made me post this picture because he wanted to show off that he has gained 10lbs. The next time you see him, make sure to make a comment on his new rugged look. He would appreciate it a ton!

Soon after we got home from Lagoon, Melinda, Dessie, and Andrew came to visit us for a week. Aubrey loved spending a little more time with her cousins.

Aubrey thinks just because she's smaller than Andrew that she can just lay all over him. I don't know that Andrew agrees.

Andrew: "So do you come to this blanket often?"
Aubrey: "I don't know, but you sure are cute!"

Aubrey cuddling with her Grand-dad

Grandma and Grand-dad posing with all the Grandkids. To add to greatness of October, Wade's brother and sister in-law had their 3rd baby on the 8th. So the day after my Birthday we visited new baby Everette and while we we were there, we had cake and ice cream for my Birthday. Seeing Everette, made me so sad to see how much Aubrey has grown in just the last 4 months.

Aubrey getting ready to go to the park! The book in this picture is Aubrey's favorite toy. she loves to suck on in and crinkle it to make lots of noise. I don't remember who got it for her, but thank you!

This last weekend, we went to a really "mind-blowing" park with Wade's nieces and nephews. They jungle gym was a little advanced for Aubrey; however, she got to try out her first big baby swing!

Mommy trying to get Aubrey to pose: "Work it Aubrey, show us a tiger face!"

After a little while of swinging sitting back, Aubrey got daring and leaned all the way forward... this way she could see all the world around her!

What a beautiful girl... she looks so grown up in this picture.

She loved this swing more than any other swing she has ever tried out... we need to get one just like this to hang up in our house.

If you haven't noticed, Aubrey's new thing is to chew on her fist and fingers. This unfortunately triggers a pool of drool from head to toe. Either way, it's kind of cute.

This last weekend, Wade bought Rockband for our playstation. After playing in the park... All us jammed out and showed our musical skills. We really make Bonjovi look armature when we rock out to "Living on a Prayer."

Usually when I get home from school, Aubrey is still wearing her pajamas from the night before and she looks like a homely child. However, I was surprised to see that Wade actually dressed her up really cute today. We decided to take some Fall pictures of her all cute.

Aubrey loves being outside and staring up at the sky and trees!

Playing in her first pile of leaves!

I think she was a little concerned about the leaf that was less than a centimeter from her eye.

Beautiful Baby!

Watch out boys... here comes Aubrey!

When I get home from school, all I want to do is spend time with my little angel... I love playing with her and just loving her.... I really can't wait until I can be a mommy all day again.

Relaxing by leaning on a tree in the beautiful Fall weather.

She is getting so big and is great at holding up her head and rolling over more and more often every day... soon, she will be rolling all the way across the floor.

Looking towards the beautiful sun setting!

We have several videos to add to this blog entry but I will attach them later. We really miss you all and can't wait to see you soon! Each leaf that falls brings us a little closer to seeing you all. We love you all and hope you all enjoy the rest of this season!

Stewart Falls: 2 years Later!

April 1, 2007
This day was a special day for two people in love. On April fools day of 2007 Wade invited me to go to Utah with him and enjoy conference. While in Utah, he woke me up really early to go somewhere special. We were going to go on a hike. As we hiked the snow covered trail through the Mountains, Wade kept saying things that made me wonder if "Today was the Day?" As we approached our destination, Wade told me to listen. The sound of rushing water was echoing in the distance. Around the next bend, a majestic waterfall was cascading from the Mountain above. It was such a beautiful sight to take in. We made our way down to the base of the falls. While we were down there, Wade was acting really nervous and weird. I was sure "Today was the Day." However, he kept stalling... I pretended I had no idea what was going to happen. In Wade's desperate attempt to transition to the question and more importantly the knee, he "suavely" said, "I hear there is gold up here. Let's look for some." (Wade looking at the ground frantically) "Look! I think I see something." Now, it was at this point that I knew 100% that today was the day. Wade then concealed something in his hand and then looked up at me and continued: "Katherine Marie Thornburgh, will you marry me?" Although his transition wasn't the smoothest, I knelt down beside him and responded. "Yes." We then preceded to make out below the falls. SUDDENLY, ice broke off from the top and came crashing down. Wade then quickly pushed me away from the falls and dodged himself. We then laughed and enjoyed the moment.

The following 3 pictures are from that eventful April day.

The snow covered falls were beautiful!

September 19, 2009

So here we are 2 1/2 years later with a beautiful baby girl and many adventures behind us. We continue to have many adventures and we are excited to now have Aubrey to join in on the fun. Last Saturday, we decided to take Aubrey and hike back up to Stewart Falls. The day was beautiful and we had a wonderful time. The fall colors are now starting to present themselves on the trees. The view in April with all the snow was beautiful, but Saturday was a whole different spectrum of beautiful. Aubrey absolutely loves the outdoors; therefore, that day she was the happiest baby one could meet. We bought a new back/front carrier for her and she just thinks it is the coolest thing. We all had a blast and we hope you enjoy all the pictures we took this time.

Let's Go Hiking!

The view took away our breaths, even Aubrey was enthralled with all the beauty!

This is definitely the creation of someone Greater.

What's up dad?

Aubrey: "Aren't you guys missing most of the cutest thing in the picture?"

Aubrey: "There you go, that's better."
We're almost there!

What a beautiful sight, we are getting closer!

All three of us.

Wade: "What are you all waiting for, let's hurry!"

We made it!

Aubrey: "My mom is the strongest person I know!"

"I think I'll just help myself to a little drink of that fresh spring water."

There were a lot more people up there today, so we got them to take a picture of all three of us together.

Mommy and Me

Aubrey: "The sound of these falls are much more soothing than that lousy recording on my bassinet."

What a little hoot, she is soo darn cute!

"Okay guys, I am ready to head back, I'm getting tired."

Daddy's touch is obviously, much more relaxing than Mommy's

A canvas of colors

Luckily, we made it back before it got too dark!

More From the Gang!

"Update"
Aubrey, is growing so fast and although it is sad to say goodbye to her itty-bitty infant stage, it is so much fun to watch her develop. She loves to just sit and chatter with anyone who will give her attention and show interest. Her smiles are so beautiful they could melt the heart of any old Grinch. I hate leaving her each day to do my student teaching but, I am always excited to come home and play with her. Student teaching is going well, last week I started to take over most of the class; however, starting this week, the class will become mine and I will be on my own. The students are so much fun and not to mention funny. I really got lucky with such a good class and an awesome cooperating teacher. My cooperating teacher is not much older than me and she is such a great teacher. I was so afraid that it would be really overwhelming; especially, with Aubrey being so young. However, my cooperating teacher has been such a help and she gives me all the support I need.

"Fun with Little Miss Sunshine"
Since Wade has started working for Wal-mart, he finds all sorts of good deals. He found this little blue dress for only $1! He couldn't pass up such a good offer for his little gal and brought it home to surprise her. She looks so cute in it.

"All ready for church in my little jean dress... boy did I look cute!"

"You can't make me smile!"

Okay, Okay... so you got me to smile... big deal."

Doing a little off roading with mommy, daddy, and Uncle Jared to find a good camping spot up in the Canyon.

This is our campsite up in the Canyon. Aubrey's first campout and fire!

Cuddling with Daddy as Aubrey was mezmorized by the fire.

Mommy teaching Aubrey all about being a Girl Scout

Uncle Jared had a hard time staying in the hammock, let alone getting into it, so Daddy tied him into it so he wouldn't fall out.

"Daddy making us popcorn while we just sat back, relaxed, and watched him work."
Camping was so much fun! We didn't have our tent with us, so we just put the seats down in the back of the Xterra and made our beds... I'm not sure we'll ever go back to sleeping in a tent. It was so easy to just get up and go again in the morning... plus we could watch movies on the lap-top in the car! But, I guess that's not really camping so we won't do that all the time. Aubrey did really well and loved the campfire, we are excited to continue to do fun things with her!

My mom bought Aubrey this little Bunny Blanket and she hasn't really used it much. However we dressed her up in all Bunny clothes and decided to have her hold the little blankie. As soon as the blanket touched her cheek, her eyes got heavy and she fell asleep. I think she will cuddle with it more often... Thanks, Grandma! We love you and miss you!

The other day Aubrey got a package in the mail from Crystal Jamison and inside were cute little baby clothes. This is our favorite outfit that she sent. Aubrey looks so grown up when she wears it, not to mention, stylish. Thanks, Crystal!

"My legs are getting so strong and I can hold my head up like I've been doing it for years!"

Daddy captured the cutest picture of Aubrey sitting up all by herself and only 3 months old... you go girl! (ok, so I may be giving her a little support, but still, she Rock!)

Still showing off her walking skills... she is so fun to play with! We miss everyone and are excited for the holidays to come along so we can see everyone before Aubrey gets too big!

Here are a few videos of Aubrey at her cutest... Most the time she is being so cute, then when the camera turns on she focuses on the camera and gets all serious.... I hope you enjoy!!

Where Oh' Where Have We Been?

"UP, UP and AWAY"

It has been so long since our last post because we have been busy, busy, busy. After a summer of homework, we were ready to get away. After packing up our modest apartment and quickly dropping all of our stuff off at Grandma and Grandad's house in Utah, we jumped on the first plane to Columbus!!! Here is a picture of me and Aubrey on the first flight she has ever taken (outside the womb). She did super awesome... she actually only started screaming when the plane landed... She really liked the hum of the plane and the constant turbulence.

Here is a picture of Wade holding Aubrey on the plane. We asked if they still gave out wings to kids. Unfortunately they stopped doing that; however, shortly after asking the stewardess came back with a "Certificate of First Flight" in which the lead flight attendant and the captain signed. We were way excited!!

OHIO FUN

After several hours of traveling, we finally made it to Columbus where Emily and Brenton were awaiting our arrival. We then crashed the night at Adam, Sarah and the Boy's house and were able to spend a little bit of time with them.

Eli: "HeeHee." Aubrey: "We're not dumb Eli, we know you're giving us bunny ears!"
Brenton: "Come on guys, just chill out."Brenton: "whoa... how did you guys get up there, I swear it was Eli?"

Aubrey & Brenton: "Something strange is going on, but we can crack the case."

Aubrey & Eli: "There are so many questions and amazing things in this big ole' world."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
West Virgina FUN
Aubrey: "Brenton was cool enough to let me try out his Bumbo... I think I did pretty good, If I may say so myself."
Here is a picture of Aubrey just chillin' in the backseat while grandma entertains her.
Aleigha absolutely fell in love with Aubrey; however, I think sometimes Aubrey thought it was too much to handle.... For example, you can tell she's totally pretending to be asleep in this picture.
Aubrey loved meeting Aunt Jessie, even though it may not appear that way.
Three sisters and two babies enjoying Family Home Evening at Mountwood park while the guys played disc golf.
Aubrey's first bath in a real tub at Grandma and Grandpa's house... oh' how she loves the water!
Still practicing in the Bumbo... getting better all the time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First Time Swimming: Crystal Lake

We decided to take a nice soft swing in the park before jumping into the big lake. Brenton liked it soo much he fell asleep.

Grandma & Grandpa swimming with the kids! Aubrey loves the water so much because she gets it from me, who gets it from my mom.

Our little family picture in the water.

All the adults decided to take a break while Aleigha "baby sat" the babies... Look how good she did swimming with them all alone in the water.

Aubrey looked so darn cute in her little bathing suite that Aleigha let her borrow.

After the babies got all dry they decided it was time to take a nap as they sun bathed.
Aubrey was so tired this night that she slept 10 full hours strait through the night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FUN at the Ritchie County Fair
If you have a squeamish belly or you are terrified of snakes just skip the next picture.
While we were in West Virginia we decided to go enjoy the fair; a kid I went to HS with placed his snake in the pet show.... Afterwards, I asked him if he could let the snake slither on Aubrey so we could take a picture. She was so awesome the newspaper decided to take a picture of her! All her friends in Elementary school are going to think she is so cool one day.
Aleigha and I enjoyed a few rides at the fair, just before this exact ride broke... luckily we weren't on it that time.
While we walked around the mall one day, Aubrey and Brenton shared the stroller as the peacefully slept.... Everyone thought they were so precious and mistook them for twins. They were darling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now off to New Jersey for more FUN!

A week of our trip we spent in N.J with Tom, Rox and the girls. We also got to spend time with Uncle Bob as Aubrey got to meet him for the first time. The following picture of the two of them is just priceless. She loved Uncle Bob and he loved her too!

"Love at first sight"

This is right after I told the girls a "very scary" story... can't you tell how horrified they were?

Down at the Jersey Beach

Grandma, Jadyn and Kaya looking so cute and having soo much fun.

Aubrey decided to take a few glamor pictures on the beach

What a Doll!

Brenton decided to join in on the photo op'
ABC called them and want them to star in their new TV series "Baby Watch"

Unfortunately the babies lowered their standards as they did a nude scene in the premiere episode of the show: "Beach Bums"

They both are so dang cute!

This is a precious picture of Jadyn and Aleigha playing in a hole they found on the beach

Aubrey's first sand castle... We took our eyes off her for one minute and found her creating this.

Cute little sandy feet

Family picture... Aubrey has become the center of our life... if you haven't noticed that the focus of this blog has been mostly on her.

Then there were 3

Up close of those "baby blues"

A cute little Mommy and Daughter picture.

Grandma and Grandpa taking the babies down to the waters edge.
Aubrey didn't go too deep until Wade was holding her in to her waist and looked away for a minute when wave crashed into her and over her head... what a mean daddy.

A good family picture of all of us who enjoyed the day at the shore.

The babies got sleepy and decided to take a cat nap under the umbrella

Me, Jadyn and Kaya enjoyed digging daddy in the sand... until Kaya go scared and started to undig her daddy and save his life.

A cute picture of Mom, Dad and Aubrey on the shore

Another Mommy and Me picture

We enjoyed a couple days on the boardwalk... we even went to Atlantic city were a nice lady took this picture for us... unfortunately, Aubrey and I were cut out...but it's still pretty cute.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FUN in D.C.
We spent a couple nights in Washington D.C. where we celebrated Emily and Chris and the kids all getting sealed together.... It was such a wonderful day! They all looked so beautiful!
Aleigha trying to get Aubrey ready to go see the temple... what a good cousin.
Elizabeth and her husband and wade, Aubrey and I joined Emily and Chris in their family picture in front of the temple... we didn't plan the color coordination, but we look like we planned it.
A beautiful and Forever Family
I have the cutest family
What more can be said then.... awwwee!
Our little family in front of the D.C. temple
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
More FUN in downtown D.C.

The day after the sealing we enjoyed a quick but fun time in downtown D.C.. We got to go to the Smithsonian: Museum of Natural History... It was so neat, next time we will plan more time to see everything.

Dinosaurs were chasing us down through most of the tour.

The dinosaurs were beginning to get angry... It looks like everyone was freaking out in this picture... Good thing we didn't stay that long and were able to make it out before midnight and before the museum came to life!!!

): No More Fun... Back to School and work in Utah :(

Although were back to work, it isn't too bad. We have just started settling down in the basement at Grandma and Grandad Christensen's house. We really enjoy being able to spend more time with them. Plus, it's been nice to kind of get into some sort of routine for Aubrey's sake. She is really growing up these days. She is smiling more and more every day and is becoming more and more playful. It's been a little difficult for me because I have started student teaching so I don't get to spend much time with her throughout the day... however, I appreciate my time with her more and more every day.

Aubrey, likes to stare at the T.V. while she is propped up on the couch... she looks so grown up!

There is no better way to end a blog than with a friendly smile and our love!!!
We love and miss everyone who is far away!

"My Light Sleepers"

A Walk Down Memory Lane

When Wade and I were dating, he invited me and a couple of my friends to spend time with his family around Thanksgiving. While we were in Utah my friends an I of course wanted to participate in the Black Friday shopping. Wade wasn't excited about the whole shopping idea, especially since we wanted to get up at 4:oo am. to hit all the best stores. Because he was still trying to woo me, he reluctantly agreed to take us. However, he did not think we were serious enough so he said that if he didn't have to set his alarm and we would wake him up then he would go. The next morning around 4am. I quietly crept up the stairs to wake him up. I found him curled in a ball on his living room floor. Trying to be a sweet girlfriend, I gently nuged his shoulder and whispered his name. All of a sudden, Wade jerked his face to look at me and he appeared as if he was looking at a monster. As he made a Shrieking YELP, he got up and began to run towards the kitchen. I didn't know what to do so I just stepped aside and watched the event. With his first few steps, Wades sock-covered feet slipped all over the tile floor. Then the inevitable happened: With a loud thump, Wade hit the floor as if he were a sack of potatoes. Sure enough, Wade's mom made her way down the stairs to see what the ruckus was. I'm sure I made a good impression when she came down the stairs to find her son's girlfriend in the room he was sleeping in at 4 in the morning with all the lights off. I tried to quickly explain the situation, but who knows how my word held up. Now when Wade tells this story, he has a completely different twist. Instead of me gently nudging him and sweetly, whispering his name, I violently shook him and growled his name as if I were the Devil himself.
After telling this story to Wade's family, I was bombarded with several other similar stories about Wade's humerous sleeping habits that have occured throughout his life. These stories range from his parents finding him crying alone in the backyard in the middle of the night; to, him ripping his shirt off and yelling "it's off already!" in the car when his family got pulled over by a police officer and they were telling him to put his seatbelt on. I must say that he has calmed down a little bit in his sleep since we have gotten married; however, I have a feeling that he has passed this "light sleeping" down to little Aubrey. When Aubrey sleeps she is easily startled by any little noise.

This video is to illustrate Aubrey's sleeping habits. Granted, Wade and I with the help of our friends helped to induce this reaction. However, she does this countless othertimes throughout each nap she takes at even the littlest sounds. Now, instead of making fun of Wade, I can make fun with both of them. Now I know it seems cruel to find entertainment in her fear; however, I hope you enjoy too!

Since Mom has left, we haven't done as many fun activities so we don't have as many fun pictures to post. However, we have not stopped taking pictures of our favorite little girl. Let's see... Aubrey had a Dr.'s appointment yesterday and weighed in at 8lbs. 11oz. that is over 2lbs. in one month! Today we are also celebrating her 1 month Birthday, we are so glad to have her in our lives. since she has been awake more she has become a little more high maintenance; For instance, she wants to be stimulated all the time when she is awake... so much for being productive. Although it is sometimes difficult to entertain her all the time, I will enjoy it while it lasts, because someday I'm sure I'll have to beg her to spend time with me.

Wade and I only have one week of school left, then we are off to visit everyone in West Virginia. We are really excited because she hasn't really met any of her aunts and uncles on that side of the family. Anyways, Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy them!

This is a little collage of Aubrey getting ready for church last Sunday. Aubrey absolutely loves the warm water of taking a bath, if you couldn't tell from the expressions on her face.

Here is Aubrey after her bath and dressed all pretty in yellow. I thought this dress was going to be too big for her; however, it fits quite nicely. Also, none of her bows fit her, but now they are beginning to fit. Our little girl is getting so big.

This is one of my favorite pictures, Aubrey loves her Daddy. There is absolutely no doubt about it, only love is in her eyes.

Getting tired of waiting for Mommy and Daddy to get ready for church... "Geesh, what were they doing all morning... I'm all ready, shouldn't they?"

Here's another beautiful outfit that we absolutely love! I wish I could just make her clothes my size.

Another beautiful picture of our little model.

So we decided that no matter how hard it would get we would not give Aubrey the pacifier, because we don't want our 4yr. old to be addicted to a pacifier. We will hold strong to this goal... besides, we have "will power."

Haha, just kidding! The pacifier has become a good friend of ours. Luckily Aubrey likes it, but doesn't love it... at least not yet. However, I do think it makes her look pretty silly. It looks like a big clown grin. She's definitely more beautiful without it.

So I really don't like this picture that much, because Wade took it when Aubrey and I were napping one morning. However, after looking at this picture I think Aubrey looks like me more than I thought. For instance, who's chin do you think she has?

Lots of Summer Fun!

Before Aubrey was born it was easy to update our blog even after months of not posting because we had very few pictures to incorporate. However, now that it's only been a couple of weeks since I've updated, I had to pick and choose from a slew of pictures. We have had so much fun in the last couple of weeks since she has been born and we want to share all of events with you. Since I last posted, we finished Aubrey's blessing dress after hours of labor. Aubrey had her 2 week appointment and measured in at 7lbs. 2oz.. I swear she has probably gained at least another 1/2 lb. since then. That same day we picked up Molly and Dad from the airport and had a blast with them in just the few days they were with us. We enjoyed swimming at Rigby Lake, Green Canyon, Date Night at the Rex, Aubrey's Baby Blessing, Fireworks and more. Unfortunantly, Wade and I dropped them back off at the airport with Mom on July 4th. We then enjoyed Independence Day with Wade's family as we went to the Parade, had a picnic, played softball, played games, and saw the Melaluca fireworks. Let's just say after all that fun we were exhausted! However, we enjoyed every minute of our fun and are excited to continue to have fun this summer. Aubrey isn't even 3 weeks old and she has already done more than most babies her age.

Aubrey playing dressup in the tutu Aunt Chambrae gave her!

How long do I need to hold this pose?

Aubrey trying not to smile... We caught her though... Don't you love the dimple?

Finally, she got to meet her Grandpa! The beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Yay, Aunt Molly!...I know she will teach me to be cool!

Aubrey's 2week appointment. She has the coolest Dr. Office, each room has a different theme... We got to go to Narnia this time. Although the room was cool, she didn't enjoy her visit very much... First off, she was starving, then they pricked her foot for the Newborn Screening Test. I have never heard her scream so bad, I wanted to cry. However, she was rewarded with boobie juice shortly after... it wasn't so bad after that. This was the appointment where she weighed in at 7lbs. 2oz. Her birth weight was 6lbs. 8oz.... Like I said she likes her boobie juice.

Molly, Mommy, Daddy, and Aubrey hanging out at Rigby Lake!

We had a blast in the paddle boats that we rented... We all got really wet trying to splash each other! Dad and Wade were ruthless!

We switched things up so someone could always stay with Aubrey, here's Molly and Mom being chased by Wade and Dad.

Ready for attack!

This is before we enjoyed the lake... we were all so nice and dry, not for long though.

Family picture in front of the lake.

This was the date night at the Rex... It was only $9 a person for unlimited bowling and billards, a pizza, icecream, soda and a new release movie... We watched "My Sister's Keeper." It was a really good, but depressing movie. We all had a blast that night.
This is Mom after almost getting a strike!

Dad's turn... looks like his ball is headed strait for the gutter... He kept blaming the lights and his inner ear problem... poor guy!

Sitting in the shade at Green Canyon... It was such a beautiful day... this was the same day Aubrey got her Father's blessing.

Molly, Wade, and Mom soaking up the sun!

Mom and Dad at Green Canyon, what a cute couple!

Here is Aubrey preparing to meet her Uncle Pat, she's already mastered her poker face!

Aubrey has spent way too much time with Aunt Molly and Grandma, she's already addicted to the phone like they are.

Aubrey helping mommy with homework... she wanted to hurry it up so we could go to Green Canyon before her blessing.

Right before the blessing and dinner with Grandma and Grandpa... she was dressed up so pretty.

Wade showing off his masterpiece right before we got her dressed.

Aubrey in her dress. She woke up and was hungry, but everyone was STRESSED for time so I had to cut her off and give her the pacifier instead... boy did this make her angry.

Right after her blessing, we took a few pictures. However, she was still angry about being cut off so we didn't get too many.

Another family picture of the 3 of us.

All of her cousins loved holding her! This one is of Alex.

Aleigha holding Aubrey with the blanket her Grandma Christensen made her. It was so beautiful!

Susie holding Aubrey!

Another picture of Aubrey before the blessing in her pretty pink dress.

We stopped by Rigby lake on the way home to catch the fireworks... Here is Dad holding Mom and Aubrey while watching the show.... Molly, Wade, and I were on the roof of the car.

Grandma got to hold Aubrey during the show... there are fireworks behind them but the camera didn't catch them that well... Aubrey did really good, she only jumped once during the show.

Here is a picture of one of the fireworks, Wade was able to capture it with a long exposure.
We took a little photo op' when we got home, because we didn't get many at the church... In this picture you can see the full dress... It was gorgeous on her.

Instead of crying, she slept in most of these pictures... I guess beggars can't be choosers, can they?

Mom and Dad holding Aubrey the night before they left. Can you tell she was pretty tired of the whole ordeal?
Are those eyes?!? Yay! we got a picture of Aubrey with her eyes open. She really does love her Grandma and misses her already.
This is one of our favorites, we love her little pouty lips. You can get a really good view of the bonnet mom made for her in this picture.
Still sleeping, but oh so precious!
She is such a blessing to us.

We caught her smiling in this picture... I think she was pretending to be asleep and was smiling at the thought of the idea.
Another smile, this time you can see her little dimple!
She opened her eyes for one minute and we took this as quickley as possible.

After we dropped everyone off at the airport, we went to IHOP. Aubrey ate first in the car, then Daddy and I got to enjoy our breakfast too.

Waiting to go into IHOP, making sure she got all the food she wanted... This is her content face, so I think we are good to go!

After the softball game at Wade's Aunt's house Aubrey and I took a nap and I took some pictures of her ity bity feet... I know I stole this from Chambrae and Emily, but who could resist?

Thos are my favorite feet... I love to kiss her little toes.
Here's the same picture in color... I just love it!

A little bit of tummy time, before we left for the fireworks!
I stole these 2 pictures from my sister-in-law, Andrea because I wanted everyone to see how beautiful it was where we waited to see the fireworks. We were sitting by the river across from the temple.

The firework show was amazing, it lasted about 30min. and there was not one dull moment in the show... We really enjoyed our Independence Day and are so grateful for all those who serve our country so we can enjoy our freedom and do all the fun things that we love doing! Thank you and you are in our hearts and prayers... God Bless You!

More on Aubrey!

Here are few more pictures of little Aubrey... Every day is such a blessing to wake up with her beside us in her bassinet. Most nights have been pretty good, she's starting to get the hang of the whole morning/night thing... however, we still have a long ways to go. Today I was actually a little successful because I had an assignment due in one of my classes... Aubrey and I took my mom to the temple and she and I sat and waited in the car while I worked on it. After my mom got out she helped me entertain Aubrey so I could finish it. I better not procrastinate anymore because my mom will be gone soon and I won't be able to put it off to the last minute anymore. Anyways... aside of all this boring text, here are pictures of our little princess. Enjoy!
This is what Aubrey does most of they day... eventually she'll do it at night... right?

She is so angelic when she sleeps.

Aubrey's first bath at home... Wade video taped while I asked my mom what to do next every other second.

Although we don't have a tub, we thought it was still a worthy moment to bring out the rubber duckies.

She was so alert and happy throughout most of her bath time.

She always looks as if she is deep in thought... I wonder what she thinks about all the time

She loves spending time with her Grandma we are really going to miss her when she leaves

Grandma is a good teacher... Aubrey listens so intently.

When Wade and I were engaged we lived in Washington so that is where I got my dress hemmed and altered. Because I am so short, there was a couple of feet of material left over. I asked her to save the scraps so someday "I" could make a blessing outfit for our future babies. So this past week "we" started making Aubrey's Baby Blessing Dress. If we have anymore girls they too will be able to wear it... if it holds up. Wade is actually the one making it; however, I am very good at observing and overseeing it (haha). Wade did not have the confidence to do it on his own so he recruited the help of his Aunt Dalene. So for the last few days we have driven to Idaho Falls where Wade, Dalene, and my Mom have worked diligently on her gown. I did actually sew two seams on the skirt so I guess you could technically say that I helped a little. It was my idea though so that's my biggest contribution.

Wade behind the sewing machine... so focused! I don't care what you think... Real MEN sew!

Grandma getting the skirts ready to be sewn. She also made a dainty little bonnet for Aubrey. It too, is made out of my gown... So although our boys wont wear the gown they can wear the bonnet.

The real person behind all the scenes. She was such a great help. Although Wade did most of the sewing, she told him every step he needed to make. I'm sure this wouldn't have been able to be done without her.While they worked on the dress, Aubrey slept. I of course took care of her when she needed me.

We will post pictures of the final product as soon as it is done... We will also certainly take pictures of our little angel wearing her gown!

Baby Aubrey!

Aubrey is one week and one day old! As of yesterday, she already lost her umbilical cord! She is moving along so fast! We absolutely love being parents! Sorry that it has been a week and no update, but we don't get much done around our house anymore... not that being parents of an infant has been that time consuming, but we find ourselves just staring at her for hours. When she is asleep, it would be a perfect opportunity to nap or get things accomplished; however, it's more fun to watch her! I'm sure in time it will wear off a little bit but we're enjoying every moment of it now.

The second night in the hospital

Aren't these just the cutest jammies... All the nurses were raving over her cute bunny feet

Don't let her fool you... she can give a scowl just as provoking as this innocent look.

Aubrey's going home outfit... We bought this for her the day we found out she was a girl!

Getting ready to leave the hospital

Ready for her first car ride... home!

This is the car seat Aubrey's cousin Aleigha let her borrow... she loves it so much... Thank you Aleigha!

Aubrey's first few moments at home... she's sitting on her play mat/ bobby that Jessie got her!

Visiting with her Grandma!

Trying out her new sling... she always curls her little fist under her cheek when she sleeps.

I left Aubrey with Wade for just a few minutes on the bed and returned to find them both asleep in the same position... the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

The day after we got home, we went to an air show... here we are ready to go!

She is beautiful!

Sorry, I have hundreds of other pictures and I had a really hard time picking and choosing which ones I wanted to add. However, I will add more pictures and comments soon, because there are plenty more. These are just of her first 4 days... there are still 4 more and more to come! I hope you enjoy all these pictures as much as we do!
